Squamish Corn....

With temps at an all time high Jack decided to join me May 9th for a tour up Brohm Ridge. This years snowpack is disappearing quickly so quality May turns are a little harder to find.

Spring was in full effect in the Squamish Valley....

An hour later we got some million dollar views of Squamish and Howe Sound.

Views of Garibaldi Parks classics were showing off in the spring sun.

The Shrund was wide open across Garibaldi's entire face so we decided to drop in 100m below the summit.

It was creamy and corny....

This photo kinda says "Winter's over".... or is it?

Nch'kay "The Dirty Place"....

Living in Squamish it's tough not to get drawn to the summit of Mt. Garibaldi. Only a few weeks back we were standing atop the lofty volcano of Howe Sound. April 21 Danielle and I decided to join Andy and his buddy on another ascent of this masterpiece.

When we set off we were in a spring power flurry that would produce about 5cms in a few hours. The summit and glacier was well obscured by a thick cloud but we persevered.

The North Pitt glacier was showing some massive slots that were nowhere to be seen only a month earlier.

Our perseverance paid off and the summit showed itself at around 4:00pm. The berg was well open but a small bridge was passable.

Boards on backs we made a final summit push....

The good thing about a 5:00pm summit is the afternoon light on Atwell's NE face!

The descent was too juicy for photos but I did take the time to capture some ancient ice.

Celebratory beers back on Brohm Ridge with a million dollar view of our house on Howe Sound.

Coast Mountain "All Inclusive"....

With the weather shaping up to be bluebird and bomber we decided to book an "all inclusive" for the Easter long week-end. Sarah, Abe, Ross and Jan joined Danielle and I on the 4 star vacation. The brochure promised deep pow, stable conditions, 4 star accommodations, mountain front views, and an open bar!

A super early Squamish departure March 29 put us at the airport well before noon.

The flight was scenic....

A few hours later we checked into our hotel ands set off to enjoy the first day out.

There were some nice views....

The next day we signed up for a trip that would take us to some of the "Local's only" spots.

We soon found an amazing oasis!

Flying machines who were recently in the area had littered the beach with garbage....

The days first activities were nothing short of amazing!

We moved on to check out some more of the island....

It was one of the better afternoons of the season....

After a full day we took the scenic way back to the resort....

As promised the bar was open that night.

The next day we signed up for another excursion to one of the more remote parts of the island.

The tour organizers didn't let us down!

The day was followed by great food and beverages....

Easter Monday brought some refreshing treats....

The day was spent much closer to the resort with some great turns right out of the front door....

Our final night we made an effort to clean the bar out and succeeded!

After an early morning fuel up we packed our suitcases and headed to the airport.

The flight home had some turbulence but we arrived back safely....

We all agreed this "All Inclusive" was worth recommending!
