Howe Sound high line....

Sunday marked our one month anniversary living in Squamish so we made a point to start taking advantage of our new proximity to the goods! The ride I had in mind is visible from our front porch and only a ten minute drive away. It had been at least ten years since I rode high above Howe Sound. Britannia Beach holds fabled trails that involve theme parks, ridges and goats. Last time I was there we cheated by using a big metal bird as our access. This time we would be earning it....

I found a street sign that pointed us in the right direction....

The ride up was especially scenic....

After a couple of hours we entered the ultra loamy forest. It was better than I remembered....

We feasted on salmon berries and surprisingly the blueberries were in full effect.

We found a nice establishment with a good view for lunch and ordered a few beers.

As soon as we dropped in the views opened up. Danielle found a nice spot to check on our house....

The kite boarders were enjoying the day....

The terrain was spectacular!

And so were the views....

The ride took us back into the rain forest and spit us out at Mountain Woman Burger for dinner! Welcome to Squamish....

ShulapsShreddin....

It's tough to find a better "Big Mountain "ride near Vancouver than the Shulaps. I love showing this unique traverse I've put together to friends who haven't hit it yet. Andy, Paul and Scott we those guys last week-end....

Once again the weather looked questionable on the coast but as we neared the Shulaps all looked good!

The grunt up was as pleasurable as ever....

And the creek crossings were a little hectic....

The Shulaps alpine was spectacular as ever...

Redneckery on the other side of the valley....

Killer views of Whitecap's NF....

And the Bridge River Valley with Sloan, Thiassi, Vayu, Dickson above Gun and Carpenter lakes....

The new Norco Sight 650b bike was an amazing tool!

Time to drop in!

5000ft of single-track right to the truck!

After camping at what Andy declared "the worst spot ever" we headed over to the North Cinnabar trail for a couple of laps....

It didn't disappoint....

Corny Locomotive....

July 8 Jack and I decided it was one more time to get some turns out of the epic snowpack our local mountains were still holding onto. We headed north to Railroad Pass on the hottest day of the year....

Donnelly creek was scenic....

Our prize.... Locomotive Mountain....

We summited at noon!

The turns were creamy....

Summer skiing hazards were avoidable...

August turns?
